How many dimensions can we comprehend? How many of us even know how many dimensions we move around in? There are the three that dictate our direction- up/down, left/right, backward/forward. That’s our 3-D world. And then there’s time. We’ve considered time to be a fourth dimension but physicists like Rovelli are producing new mathematics that say:
“we must forget the notion of time altogether, and build a quantum theory of gravity where this notion does not appear at all”
-Carlo Rovelli
Physicists work under the assumption there are at least 10 dimensions but our minds can’t comprehend most of them. That last bit belongs to string theory… (Kabballah- Sefer Yetzirah specific- also denotes 10 Sephira to our world as well.) We put together these models and we describe the forces we think we sense but most mathematics deals in abstracts without having to define things psychologically.
If the theory of general relativity describes a world of curved spacetime where everything is continuous, and quantum theory describes a world in which discrete quantities of energy interact then we’re seeing how two very different forces create our experience, not complete models of it. In Rovelli’s words, “quantum mechanics cannot deal with the curvature of spacetime, and general relativity cannot account for quanta.”
It’s like theorizing that time itself almost has to blend back into spacetime and dissolve at the most fundamental level of being. Only the parts of the greater whole that need an observer to experience life would be subject to our awareness of time in relation to being. We become these fluid parts of a complex model of string theory that takes on a whole new meaning when you look at it spiritually, We’re a part and our experience matters it’s just not the whole story. Everything is subjective.
Think of how we setup networking systems. The languages between systems change dozens of times and yet the overall functionality thrives because those changes in language only affects agents locally. Those photons whose quantum entanglement is aware of everything else in existence are aware it “exists/because,” (its existence implies awareness) and they have no philosophical mind to argue. They connect and form when they must.
Then, there’s our thinking:
“I think therefore I am.”
-Descartes
We want to know so we dabble in arts and sciences to seek the depths of reality. We postulate the different dimensions with complex math and philosophy. Theologies to tie them together loosely. Then the Prophets come along and spell it all out for us They show us how multidimensional our understanding can be,
“I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again.
-John 3:5-7

EMANATION “the Kingdom of God” anōthen (ἄνωθεν) “from above” the source of ___ we depict with archetypes and symbols. (Hayyah and Yehidah)
CREATION “that which is born of the Spirit.” where we use the mind to study and create. Ru’ahh memallela- speaking being (Neshema)
FORMATION “unless one is born of water.” where we find Ru’ahh- the breath/life-Spirit. (Purification/Emotion)
DOING “That which is flesh is flesh.” Nefesh (נֶ֫פֶשׁ) ”the body and it’s energies.” (Sensation/Behavior)
With thirty-two wondrous paths of Wisdom engraved Yah, the Lord of Hosts, with three books, with text (Sepher), with number (Sephar), and with communication (Sippur).
-Sefer Yetzirah 1:1
It’s okay to ponder at this point. That is what I’m asking you to do.
It’s okay to say “We don’t know.” Life is a mystery. Enjoy its Beauty!
MEDITATION: I WILL BE WHAT I WILL TO BE
- Retire to your special seat to meditate and pray. Get comfortable and start up all of the deep breathing and relaxation you normally do to settle into yourself. As soon as your calm and centered with God, proceed.
- Bring awareness to your body. Take note of sensations on your skin, the feel of the floor/chair beneath you. Notice your body and really focus on it. Tell your body “I Will Be What I Will to Be. God is with you.” Feel the “I AM” in your cells. Observe how it feels. Note the sensations but resist the urge to categorize and stay with it. Go deeper still…
- Bring awareness to your feelings. Pay attention to where the emotions are coming from. How do they tie in to the sensations from your body? Are there thoughts projecting from anywhere? Note the experience and Tell them “I Will Be What I Will to Be. God is with you.” Feel where “I AM” connects to your body and ru’ahh extends to the earth. Notice the flow through you as if you are a vessel.
- Bring awareness to your thoughts. Look to see if they’re arising from feelings or sensations in your body. Note them and tell your mind “I Will Be What I Will to Be. God is with you.” You can literally focus your intellect. Just breathe in focused and notice all of the energy flowing in the moment and form it into a light in the middle of your head. “I Will Be What I Will to Be. God is with you,”
- Stay with this a while. Do a few rounds feeling the light build.
- Finally, focus your attention just outside of your head. Can you feel a pool of energy surging around the one you’ve created? Breathe in deeply leaning your head back as far as you can and breathe in the letter Yod.
- Exhale moving your head forward pointing your chin to your chest breathing out the letter Hey.
- Inhale letting your left ear move towards your left shoulder. Silently pull the letter Vav in feeling the stretch in your neck.
- Exhlale the final Hey as your right ear follows a clock pattern towards your right shoulder.
- Continue breathing in the four levels of being for as many rounds as you like. When you’re finished, make sure to roll your neck a few times and limber up your head space. Thank the Great “I AM” for being. Feel gratitude for your life.
REFLECTIONS
This is one of those studies we can easily sit with for months. (I definitely have in the past) We could practice meditating on the Great “I AM” for a lifetime. We can study the Tree of Life and the Worlds of Emanation and relate the to The Kingdom Of God in John:
“I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again.

This is one of those lessons that should be dissected. There’s a lot here to grasp that requires deep meditation to see. Do not underscore this aspect of the Wisdom Tradition. So much of the wisdom has to be experienced and internalized to grasp.
Last thought to leave you with.
“All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.”
-Max Planck
Ever deepening challenge of awareness and willingness to sit in the frisson of known and yet , other known. Keep up the good work, this is important stuff.

“A willingness to sit in the frisson…” That part. That’s where we find the narrow gate. Such a fantastic teaching method. God is good.

Science is definitely behind the mystics on this one.
